Up until this point, I had played basketball and baseball, but never lifted weights or even been inside a lifting facility. I was 130 pounds, and very unhappy about it \u2013 I had always been teased about being skinny and small.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div  class=\"x-column x-sm cs-ta-center x-1-2\" style=\"padding: 0px;\" ><img  class=\"x-img man x-img-rounded\"  src=\"http:\/\/fitnesspoynters.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/XD5A6008.jpg\" alt=\"Placeholder\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x-container max width\" style=\"margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;\"  ><div  class=\"x-column x-sm x-1-1\" style=\"padding: 0px;\" ><div class=\"x-text\"  ><p>One day, I walked into a gym. I wanted to change my life through fitness, but I had no clue what I was going to do or how to do it \u2013 no devised plan whatsoever. After about three years of working out without much direction, I began to study training styles and began reading personal training manuals. I got deeper into nutrition, learning why the body needs certain things and how different foods affected the body in different ways.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Once I learned these serious training and nutrition principles, I started putting all of what I learned together, and my body really started to change. Before, I was severely over-training, not taking in enough food, not drinking enough water, not getting enough rest. All those things are vital for progress!<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"x-text\"  ><p id=\"u3537-3\">Over the years, I went from 130 lbs of skin and bones to 167 lbs at 3.9% bodyfat. I have bulked up to 208 lbs and cut back down to 178 lbs at 4% bodyfat. I learned how to do all of this through lots of research, and trial and error. I lived it.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-6\">On Oct 27,2012, I decided to take a shot at competing in the NPC Middleweight Class. I trained for 13 weeks for this show, I came in tight and dry at 171 lbs on the day of weigh ins. However I entered the open Middle Weight class as well and ended up taking 4th there.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-9\">In August of 2014, I competed in the Kentucky State\/ Kentucky Open Bodybuilding Championships .\u00a0 My competition prep ran 14 total weeks.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-11\">I competed in both Novice and Open. I was a Middle weight in Mens Bodybuilding.<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-13\">Results are as follows:<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-15\">* 1st place Novice Middleweight<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-17\">* 1st Place Kentucky State Open Middleweight<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-19\">* 2nd Place Kentucky Open Middleweight( open to residents outside of Kentucky)<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-21\">* Novice Overall Winner<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-23\">2017: Kentucky State:<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-25\">1st Place Middleweight Open<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-27\">1st Place Middleweight: Kentucky State<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-29\">1st Place Class A: Classic Physique<\/p>\n<p>2018: Kentucky Muscle:<br \/>\n4th Place: Light Heavyweight<\/p>\n<p>2nd Place: Classic Physique B<\/p>\n<p>2021: Kentucky State &amp;\u00a0 Open<\/p>\n<p>2nd Place Both Classes:<br \/>\n\u00a0Classic Physique:<\/p>\n<p id=\"u3537-33\">What I aim to do for my Team is to take all the guesswork out of it, so you will not make the same mistakes I did. You will have all the information before you so that you can begin your transformation immediately, do it the right way, and progress much faster than I ever did. I understand the importance of living a healthy lifestyle \u2013 we all have loved ones that bring the desire to live as long as we possibly can!
